Josh went home that summer and during the end of the summer both Josh and Maddy were trying to figure out if they were going to be teachers in Georgia for the next year. They both decided yes! They became really good friends over the school year and also started liking each other more and more...

Josh, through much prayer and thought, asked Maddy out on their first date on May 31, 2025. She said yes! Josh also asked Maddy to be his girlfriend and she said yes of course! Josh and Maddy were an official couple!

Josh and Maddy got to get to know each other a lot more through spending time together and through phone calls long distance over the summer. They fell more in love and worked through issues together. Their relationship deepened a lot.

Josh and Maddy went on Christmas break thinking and praying a lot about what the Lord would have for them in the future. "Is this long term?", "Is this who God wants me to marry?"... God made is extremely clear to Josh that Maddy was the woman for him... Thus, over Christmas break Josh decided to marry Maddy.

Josh asked Maddy to marry him January 26, 2026. Maddy said yes!
